Merseyside APC is an alternative provision centre that can provide both on-site and off-site alternative education to disengaged students of both primary and secondary school age (8-16). The young people we work with have a range of social, emotional and behavioural issues that have impacted on their ability to engage successfully in education.
We offer OFQUAL accredited courses which can be adapted to fit the needs of the individual. Our programmes incorporate enterprise and entrepreneurial skills, taught in a unique way to increase employability prospects and up-skill the next generation. We also offer functional skills in Maths, English and IT.

At MAPC we offer various bespoke programmes that are tailored to suit the needs of our students. We work in partnership with Open Awards, allowing us to offer a range of courses to our students. Our priority is to improve attendance and increase confidence, self-esteem and attitudes to learning in our students. All students will have a key worker from day one who will work alongside them to improve their aspirations and support them to achieve their goals.
Information on our projects will be updated regularly on this website, as well as our Twitter and Facebook pages.
MAPC has 3 directors who collectively have over 30 years experience of working with students both in mainstream and alternative provision settings. MAPC will work with schools, families, local communities and local authorities to improve the outcomes of our most disengaged young people. MAPC will create a sense of pride and respect within these areas by increasing accountability, productivity and self-awareness amongst different age groups and social groups.
